Violin Memory executives see the company's new global partner program as a key step in its effort to broaden the appeal of its all-flash arrays.Although Violin Memory gained initial traction in the enterprise market, it is now looking more to the channel to extend its reach into small and midsize enterprises following the recent introduction of the Violin Flash Storage Platform, which is priced equivalent to a high-end magnetic storage system, said Jeff Nollette, worldwide vice president of channel sales for Violin Memory.
"We've made a much [more] friendly product for the channel," said Nollette. "We're now going well beyond a Fortune 500 kind of company play."
